Alma, a visual performance for young children
2020 has been a box of surprises, some good, others not so good. We had the opportunity to premiere our second production, ALMA, a visual performance for young children at the latest edition of FETEN (international festival of theatre for children, held in Gijón, Spain). It went really well and we are very pleased by the response we received. It was a really special and rewarding experience because it was the first time that Anna, the project’s director and actor, had performed alone on a stage, which is not something that happens every day. It requires growth as an artist and as a person. A unique experience.
ALMA is a poetic journey through the four seasons of the year. An artistic piece that comes from Anna’s need to create a performance for children, with a simple message and, at the same time, give them a unique sensory experience. A space where they can feel at peace, recognizing where they are at all times: spring, summer, autumn and winter.
When you are on stage and can hear the children’s voices as they whisper what they can see or what each new character or material that appears on the stage evokes for them, it is a really enriching gift, the culmination of the creative process, sharing.
We are starting September 2020 with the same passion as every year at the start of the season! But this time, it feels like we are on a sailboat that moves us around at the mercy of the gusts of wind. Here we are and we are here to stay, rowing as hard as we can, just as we have always done.
