LABÚ travels to Asia for the first time

In October, we will travel to the Beijing International Puppet Theatre with our production ALMA. This is the first time that we are performing outside Europe and making our debut on a new continent, specifically in China. Continuing our efforts to achieve greater internationalization, which we began in 2018 with the support of the cultural mentor Toni Gonzalez, our artistic project is now taking a great step forward.

Every time that we are about to step out onto the stage in a new country, we wonder what the local audience will be like, what reception our production will receive, what our interaction with the audience will be like.

The artistic bond that originates from a performance is forged with the characteristic traits of the physical space and time in which it is created. With this in mind, we are really looking forward to coming into contact with the emotions of a new culture.

We are thrilled and excited to open new doorways and take this great leap into China, a country with strong cultural roots, leading us to imagine a bright future for our road ahead.
